Pure Sound Hearing Aids customer Dick Smith had something very special to celebrate during a recent visit: his 14-year-old granddaughter, Maddie Smith of Manheim, Pennsylvania, earned a silver medal at the 2026 ITF Taekwon-Do World Cup in Benidorm, Spain.
The international competition brought together thousands of Taekwon-Do athletes from around the world for several days of competition in Benidorm.
Maddie trains with Advantage Taekwon-Do in Lititz and has been competing successfully from a young age. Her latest achievement took her all the way from Lancaster County to the international stage in Spain—and resulted in a World Cup silver medal at just 14 years old.
For her grandfather Dick, it was understandably a proud moment to share.
Dick is a patient of Pure Sound Hearing Aids and works with Hearing Instrument Specialist Sean Mark. One of the things we enjoy most about caring for people in our community is getting to know them beyond their hearing care. Over the years, we hear about children, grandchildren, vacations, anniversaries, accomplishments and special moments like this one.
Maddie’s achievement is certainly worth celebrating.
Congratulations, Maddie, on an incredible accomplishment! Everyone at Pure Sound Hearing Aids wishes you continued success as you pursue your Taekwon-Do journey.
